Hollye Jenkins
Hollye Jenkins has 25+ years of professional experience in government and non-profit organizations. She also has 13+ years of community relations experience and management experience.  Her experience includes community organizing on various political campaigns, strategic planning and acting as a conduit between parents, school officials, and community members with education and cultural affairs.  Hollye experience expands from the California Bay Area where she was raised to the East Coast where she was born and also where she attended College. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Hampton University. As a student of Political Science she continued to be involved with politics and community work.  Hollye had the extreme honor and pleasure to intern on Capitol Hill with the late Senator Edward Kennedy. As a personal office intern she was exposed to the Senator’s constituents and she was involved in the greatest display of attending to the needs and concerns of that community. She continued her work while in college and decided to take her quest in a more political light, she interned for Amnesty International‘s first time political campaign against Human Right violations in the United States, targeting police brutality. After receiving her degree she returned home and continued her quest of working on behalf of the community, this time she had the pleasure of working close to home in Oakland California as an AmeriCorps member. When this gratifying encounter was complete she decided to hone her skills and attend law school. After one year in a half she came home to care for her ailing Mother. After her Mother’s passing she became more of an advocate in for the lives of families educating them about health and health care. Hollye continues to be advocate for health care, education and cultural affairs, as an active member at her church she is always involved in various activities.
